October 2019 Meeting

Ten members attended a relaxed meeting at Mettingham Village Hall near Bungay on 1st October – a different venue for us – where a few items were either displayed, worked on or traded. A bonus was some proper “cream tea” refreshments provided by Richard and Sarah.

A lovely model of a WHR Moel Tryfan Bagnall locomotive recently bought by Richard, named “Meld”. It runs on an Arnold chassis.
Inspired by the fresh fish stalls in Aldeburgh, this is a 16mm model being built by Alan, all made using only card.
Martin was working on couplings for “Longstone Park” and is developing an interesting method using rigid bars and magnets. This is a view of the layout not seen before, looking out from the end of the maintenance shed.
Graham has now built a second coach (centre) for his proposed 09 scale layout. He also displayed a photograph of the base board under construction.
An “N” scale 6.5mm gauge Peco GVT style loco running on a Marklin 0-6-0 chassis prior to painting, displayed by Stewart.
A pair of stone and tile cottages being built by Ray for his layout at home.
