July 2019 Meeting

We held an all-day meeting at Barsham Village Hall on 6th July, members could bring a layout, work on models, watch the videos or just generally join-in the chat.

Jim brought his 009 layout “Old Chapel Yard“. He has been adding stock, including these nicely lettered and weathered wagons and vans.
Martin’s Gn15 layout “Longstone Park” is receiving improvements in the form of added foliage, and detail to the maintenance shed roof.
Richard was test running some locos on his 009 layout “Thurtey”. Here a Narrow Planet Motorail is seen with a guards van on the middle jetty.
Graham was displaying his new 009 permanent way train hauled here by a second hand diesel tractor using a Kato 103 chassis.
Graham has also started to model in 7mm “09” scale, he has started by using some Unit Models resin kits. Picture shows their freelance diesel and two open wagons.
Stewart made an “N” scale wagon turntable using Z gauge track.
Alan is continuing to build items for his 16mm layout. This will be an ice wagon for use on the fish quay scene.
Bill was cutting sleepers for his scratch built 1:16 scale layout and also made a new oil can, see here with earlier examples.
